I don’t think I have been more excited for a trip in a very long time. In less than 45 hours, I will be boarding a plane at DFW airport, and will be headed to Salt Lake City, Utah. I haven’t been on an extended vacation in quite some time.
I bought some Texas related things to give Megan and Amber when I see them. I’ll post pictures of the two beauties with their goodies later this week. I also bought Mary a sign for the house that they will be moving to in September. I’ll show it to you guys later also.
I’m proud to be from Texas, much like I am sure you are proud to be from your state and or country. Everyone has their own traditions and views. I know the things Texas is known for some good, some are bad spots in history. Let me tell you, The Friendly State is where it’s at. 🙂
Even if the weather is so unpredictable, that you can have record cold that causes the state’s electric providers to have rolling black outs to prevent a system collapse….to a summer so scorching hot and dry that we almost face the same situation with our electricity.
I was hoping that it might be cooler in Utah, but looking at the weather channel’s website, that doesn’t look to be likely. Maybe it won’t be as humid? Who knows, it’s not going to be terrible. I’m taking my swimming suit, there is a pool. We will be hiking in the mountains at some point as well. My camera has been begging to see some new scenery.
You guys will be in for quite a treat the next 2 weeks.
Happy Monday everyone!!
