Yesterday’s Daily Post asks us:

What’s your idea of a perfect day off: one during which you can quietly relax, doing nothing, or one with one fun activity lined up after the other? Tell us how you’d spend your time.

The perfect day off? A few years ago, I enjoyed going on photo walks around the square, or nature trails, spending time with my parents and family.

Now that the baby is here, I tend to love my quiet times with my little guy. The not so quiet times are good also. I spend a lot of my off time thinking about the baby, and what he needs. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job, but any day I’m off and spending time with James and the baby is a great day!

Being a working mom is hard, I’ve only been at it for a month now, but I can tell it’s going to be hard for the duration. I miss Ronnie a lot when I’m at work. Working a rotating 12 hour shift, means I work a lot of days and nights. It also means I have a lot of time off built in to my schedule as well. I love my little guy, and I hope that he knows that Mommy and Daddy work so hard so we can spend so much time together. He grows and changes everyday. It’s even more evident when I’m away from him.

My perfect day off is spent with my family. Playing, shopping, doing whatever. I know that as the baby grows, our activities will change as well. I am looking forward to it.

What is your perfect day off?
